Ron Asheton RIP
Oh man... what a massive fucking bummer to start 2009. Stooges guitarist Ron Asheton found dead.
One of the greatest joys in my life was getting to meet Ron in April 2007. Meeting someone who truly, honest to god, changed my life with music was amazing and incredible. He couldn't find his phone and I made a joke about "No Fun" should be "No Phone." Yep. He kinda laughed, but was super nice, very cool and tolerated me like a true righteous dude. Goddamn, this makes me so sad.
